Key Responsibilities

As a CFO, you'll be Reporting directly to the Board and Executive Leadership Team, the CFO will oversee the full financial strategy of the organisation, ensuring robust financial governance, compliance and commercial performance across all construction and development activities. You will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of the business, strengthening internal controls, and supporting major investment and development decisions.

Provide strategic financial leadership to support business growth, operational excellence and long‑term sustainability.

Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management, capital planning and financial risk management.

Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements across multiple entities and complex project structures.

Ensure full compliance with Australian tax legislation, including GST, PAYG, FBT, land tax and other statutory obligations.

Manage high‑level communication and engagement with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies.

Oversee financial governance, internal controls and audit processes across the organisation.

Provide commercial insights and financial modelling to support major development projects, acquisitions and investment decisions.

Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, capability development and high performance.





Collaborate closely with project directors, external advisors, auditors and senior executives.

Drive continuous improvement across financial systems, reporting frameworks and operational processes.

Experience & Skills

Atleast 12–15 years experience in senior finance roles, including at least 5+ years in an executive or CFO‑level position highly desirable.

Strong background in construction, property development, civil infrastructure or related industries.

Demonstrated experience managing multi‑entity structures and complex consolidation reporting.

Deep understanding of Australian tax legislation and regulatory compliance, including direct communication with the ATO.

Proven ability to lead high‑performing finance teams and influence senior stakeholders.

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly and confidently.

Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting major investment and development decisions.

Must be an Australian Citizen due to regulatory and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline (mandatory).

CPA or CA qualification

Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, tax frameworks and corporate governance requirements.

Advanced proficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms used within the construction sector.
