Corine Duke Recruitment

Dandenong

Site Manager | Melbourne, VIC (South-East) | Salary Range: $140,000 – $150,000 + Car + Bonus + Super (negotiable)

Why This One's Worth A Look

I've partnered with a well-established, global manufacturer of a range of building materials and products that operates two closely located sites in VIC, one an original, long-standing site, the other brought into the business through an acquisition several years ago.

Both sites are already operating profitably, but they've never truly worked as one, and after a period without strong, consistent leadership, they're ready for someone who wants to fix that while continuing to grow what's already working.

Full-time permanent role with genuine full ownership across 2 x manufacturing sites

Salary Range: $140,000 to $150,000 + Car/Fuel Card + Bonus + Super

Location: South-east Melbourne, within the Dandenong industrial precinct, working across 2 x sites ten minutes apart.

Hours: Day shift only, Monday to Friday, no weekend production.

Part of a global manufacturing group in strong growth, with real investment and budget behind this business, a genuine platform for your own long-term development.

A genuine turnaround chance: 2 x profitable sites that have never truly worked as one, ready for a leader who wants to fix that, not just manage around it.

Real scope to grow capacity at both sites, with a long-term vision to eventually bring them together into one larger, purpose-built site.

The Impact You'd Make

Across the two sites, you'll lead a team of around 40 people, currently running day shift only, Monday to Friday,

no nights or weekends. You'll take full leadership across both, with a clear mandate to bring currently siloed production and warehouse functions together as one.

Start by getting to know the people, the sites and the customers, then bring both teams onto one shared way of working, balancing stabilisation with continued growth.

Rebuild trust and stability in site leadership through consistent, visible, hands‑on presence from day one.

Own inter-site transfers and distribution into TAS and other sites, working within a broader network of distribution centres and raw material production sites across the business.

Build the succession, capability and cultural foundations for an eventual merge of the two sites into one.

This will be genuinely difficult. The two sites have never fully come together since the acquisition, and a recent period without strong, consistent leadership has let old habits and silos persist. But the potential is real, and for the right leader, that challenge is exactly what makes this opportunity worth taking

What You'll Bring

You bring a track record of leading through genuine cultural or trust issues, not just managing a site that already runs well,

and you're motivated by the harder, more meaningful version of the job.

A mature, experienced leader who can have direct, respectful conversations, especially the hard ones.

Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, from production through to output and quality.

Genuine supply chain and logistics experience: freight, stock, distribution centres, and the operational complexity that comes with a global, multi-site manufacturing business.

A commercial, strategic mindset, someone who can think big picture, plan succession, and invest in developing their people.

A genuine focus on safety, quality and operational excellence as the foundation for growth.

Who You'd Be Working With

You'll report to a senior national operations leader with a genuine, people first, hands‑on style who is personally invested in getting this right, and lead two Production Managers and a Warehouse Manager, with a Safety Officer on site.

Beyond the two sites, you'll be part of a global team and leadership network, with genuine exposure to senior leadership and involvement in wider business initiatives. Support services are based in other states, so you're never operating in isolation, and you'll have real visibility across the whole business, along with genuine opportunities for your own long-term development and growth.
