About the Role
We now have a fantastic fixed term full-time opportunity for apassionate sports and recreation leader to take on the role ofSports Supervisor at Cockburn ARC until May 2027.
Reporting to the Sports and Programs Senior Team Leader, youwill lead a large team of Senior Activity Leaders, Activity Leadersand Sports Umpires to deliver high quality sports competitions,programs and community participation opportunities. You Willoversee a diverse portfolio including our senior and junior socialsports competitions, sporting clinics, Kids Zumba, Play Active andPickleball.
This hands-on role will lead the delivery of high-qualitycompetitions and programs, oversee daily operations of oursix-court stadium, and support a dynamic team to create positiveand engaging experiences for the community.
About you
We are seeking a proactive and organised leader with strongcommunication skills, a passion for community sport, and theability to motivate teams while delivering high-quality,customer-focused programs.
A natural people leader, you support and develop others whilefostering a positive, accountable team culture. You are a confidentproblem solver who makes sound decisions, takes initiative, andmanages competing priorities independently. Passionate aboutcommunity, you are committed to delivering inclusive sport andrecreation experiences that encourage participation, connection,and wellbeing.
Besides demonstrated experience, you’ll need to have:
- Tertiary qualification or Diploma qualification and/orsignificant relevant work experience in sport, recreation orprogram delivery.
- Must maintain Senior First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Must maintain a Working with Children Check
- Maintain a satisfactory Nationally Coordinated CriminalHistory Check
- Experience working in Local Government leisure orrecreation facilities is desirable
- Experience liaising with State Sporting Associations,schools, or community partners is desirable
- Umpiring qualifications and/or experience isdesirable.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary range from Level 4Step 1 – Step 4 ($88,105 - $93,975 per annum)
of the City ofCockburn Industrial Agreement 2025, based on qualifications andexperience.
