We are looking for a registered Midwife/ Nurse to join our dedicated midwifery team at Mildura Base Public Hospital and make a meaningful difference in the lives of families across our community. In this role, you'll deliver exceptional, patient-centred care to mothers and neonates, guided by our H.E.A.R.T. values and a shared commitment to clinical excellence. You'll work alongside a passionate, multidisciplinary team in a supportive environment that values your skills, nurtures your growth, and recognises the vital role midwives play in our community every single day.
Renumeration under the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employees) Enterprise Agreement.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration as well as Knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to nursing practice
- Proven midwifery experience and possess robust customer service skills along with a caring and nurturing personality
- Knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to nursing practice
- Completed Foetal Surveillance Education
- Completed Neo Natal Resus in the last 12 months
- Completed Obstetric Emergency Training
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
The Team:
The Midwifery Unit at MBPH comprises an 8-bed Antenatal/Postnatal ward, 3 bed midwifery assessment unit, and 3 birth suites that cater for 900 births a year. The ward also has a level 3,
Special Care Nursery that cares for 34-week neonates and stabilisation of other premature or sick neonates prior to them being transferred to a tertiary centre.
Our highly skilled, multidisciplinary team accepts all risk patients meaning you will gain invaluable experience that you may not be able to get in a metro hospital.
