We are seeking a passionate and experienced Multicultural Child, Youth & Family Worker to join our Community Services Team on a part-time basis (4 days per week). This is an opportunity to work directly with vulnerable children, young people and families from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, delivering strengths-based early intervention and prevention services that create lasting positive outcomes.

About the Role

Reporting to the Community Services Manager, you will provide responsive and flexible support to children, young people and families living in the Macarthur region who are experiencing vulnerability or are at risk. You will deliver a combination of case work, family support, parenting programs and community engagement activities in line with Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) Targeted Early Intervention Program requirements.

This role is ideal for a compassionate and culturally responsive professional who enjoys building strong relationships and empowering families to reach their goals.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

- Conduct assessments and develop individualised case plans with children, young people and families.
- Deliver case management and family support services through home visits, advocacy, referrals and practical assistance.
- Facilitate and support parenting programs and supported playgroups.
- Provide information and education relating to parenting, child development, health and wellbeing.




- Maintain accurate client records, case notes and program data.
- Complete mandatory reporting obligations and ensure compliance with program guidelines.
- Build strong relationships with community stakeholders and referral partners.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, supervision and service planning activities.
- Contribute to program reporting and outcomes measurement.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Social Science, Community Services, Early Childhood Education or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable children, young people and families.
- Knowledge of the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act.
- Understanding of strengths-based, person-centred and trauma-informed practice.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Driver's Licence and access to a comprehensively insured motor vehicle.
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- National Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain).

Highly Regarded

- Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.
- Case work or case management experience.
- Experience facilitating parenting programs, supported playgroups or similar group programs.
- Training in Triple P, Tuning into Kids or similar evidence-based parenting programs.
