Your role

Join the Information and Digital Services (IDS) branch and play a key role in supporting the HOMES application, a critical system used by Homes NSW to deliver social housing services across NSW.

Working within the Applications and Platforms team, you will provide specialist application support and collaborate closely with business stakeholders, vendors and technical teams to ensure the ongoing reliability, performance and improvement of a business-critical system.

What you’ll do

As a Senior System Administrator, you will provide third-level application support for the HOMES application and contribute to the delivery of reliable, high-quality support services.

You will:

- Provide technical support and analysis for complex incidents and service requests
- Investigate and resolve application, configuration, data and integration issues
- Partner with business users, support teams and vendors to deliver effective solutions
- Support software testing activities, including test execution and documentation
- Contribute to system maintenance, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicate effectively with users and stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution
- Work collaboratively across multiple teams to support a complex application environment with interconnected systems

What we’re looking for





We're looking for a collaborative and customer-focused application support professional who enjoys working with others to solve complex problems and deliver positive outcomes for users.

You will have:

- Experience providing technical support and request analysis for enterprise-level social housing management or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
- Experience with HOMES (NEC Housing) is highly regarded; experience with similar social housing or tenancy management platforms will also be considered
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate application, data and integration issues
- Experience working in complex environments with multiple interconnected systems
- A proven ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively with business users, technical teams and external vendors
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Knowledge of relational databases and integration technologies, including SOAP/XML and REST/JSON
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) tools
- Experience in software testing, including test execution and documentation, is desirable
