We are a well-established South Sydney-based manufacturing business seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate to begin their career in a hands-on manufacturing environment. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will gain exposure to product design, manufacturing processes, project management, CNC operations and continuous improvement initiatives while contributing to projects that have a direct impact on our operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the design, development and implementation of engineering projects.
- Support the Design Engineer in developing new products and improving existing manufacturing processes.
- Create and modify mechanical 3D models & drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality and Supply teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate CNC production activities and assist in the development of new products.
- Investigate equipment breakdowns and identify engineering solutions to improve reliability and performance.
- Attend breakdowns to troubleshoot and assist the maintenance supervisor
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, implementation and review.
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors regarding equipment, materials and technical requirements for engineering projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, quality and productivity across the site.
- Assist the Engineering Manager with ongoing capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Recent graduate with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Keen interest in manufacturing, design and project engineering.
- Basic experience with Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software.
- Basic CNC programming experience with Alphacam desirable not required
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Capable of managing a wide-ranging workload while achieving project and production objectives.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work collaboratively with both office-based and production teams.
