Applications Lead - Resources

As the Applications Lead, you'll lead a high-performing applications support team, partnering with operational and technology stakeholders to ensure critical business applications remain reliable, secure and continuously improving across a multi-site operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced applications support leader to take ownership of an enterprise applications portfolio, mentor a team of support professionals, and drive improvements across application support processes and stakeholder relationships within a large, complex operation.

WHAT'S ON OFFER

- Permanent, full-time position
- $170,000 Base + Super + 15% Bonus
- Perth based role, 5 days on site
- Lead a team supporting business-critical applications across a complex operational environment

THE ROLE

You will lead a team responsible for the support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications, acting as a key point of escalation and driving performance and capability across the team.

Working closely with operational teams, stakeholders, and technology partners, you'll ensure applications remain fit-for-purpose across a demanding operational landscape, while contributing to broader ERP and enterprise application initiatives.

Key responsibilities include

- Lead, coach and develop a team of Application Support Analysts
- Serve as the primary internal SME for the full Mining Operational Application Portfolio
- Provide day to day advisory and guidance to the broader business and team on application capabilities, limitations and best practices
- Build and develop SME capability within the team over time, ensuring knowledge is shared and not siloed




- Maintain a deep understanding of the mining operational application landscape, staying across system changes, upgrades and evolving business needs
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with MRL's commodity divisions, developing a deep understanding of their operational needs and delivering technology solutions that support their objectives
- Act as a trusted IT partner to the business, bridging the gap between operational requirements and technology capabilities
- Identify opportunities to improve stability, automation and service delivery
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and enterprise transformation initiatives

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Previous experience leading an Applications Support team, working on business-critical enterprise applications
- Exposure to real-time data and SCADA integration highly regarded
- Strong stakeholder engagement and people leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
- Comfortable working 5 days on site

Desirable

- Resources or utilities industry background will be well regarded
- SAP or other ERP experience
