About the Role

We are seeking a personable and professional Food & Beverage Attendant to join our team at Southern Ocean Lodge, a globally acclaimed luxury lodge on Kangaroo Island's rugged south west coast. In this guest-facing role, you will provide warm, attentive service in our restaurant, bar, and lounge areas to create memorable dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide friendly, efficient table service in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences and make tailored recommendations
- Maintain expert knowledge of the lodge's food and beverage menus, including local ingredients, wine pairings and cocktails
- Set up and maintain dining spaces to an impeccable standard
- Assist with mise en place, polishing cutlery and glassware, and general restaurant preparation
- Process payments and manage guest billing in the POS system
- Participate in regular training on service standards, menu updates and F&B; knowledge

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar F&B; role, preferably in a premium hotel, restaurant or resort
- Genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
- Confidence and charm in engaging with a discerning clientele




- Excellent food and beverage knowledge, especially of South Australian wines
- Impeccable grooming and presentation
- Flexibility to work a roster including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certification
