We are seeking a reliable, organised and passionate Cook to join our early childhood education and care service. This role is vital in supporting children’s health, wellbeing and development through nutritious, well-balanced meals.

About the Role

As our service Cook, you will be responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious meals and snacks each day while ensuring all children’s dietary needs are met in a safe, hygienic and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook daily meals and snacks for children in accordance with the Australian Dietary Guidelines
- Plan and implement varied, seasonal menus that are nutritious, appealing and age-appropriate
- Cater for all children’s dietary requirements, allergies and cultural needs
- Maintain accurate food allergy and dietary records
- Manage food ordering, stock control and work within a set budget
- Ensure the kitchen meets all food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Comply with all relevant regulations, policies and procedures




- Work collaboratively with educators and leadership to support children’s wellbeing
- Food Safety Supervisor Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in menu planning and preparing meals for groups
- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen management
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working as a cook in an early childhood or similar setting
- Knowledge of early childhood nutrition guidelines
