Air Import/Export Operations - International Freight Forwarding

Due to continued growth a newly created opportunity to join this Multinational Market leader supporting the airfreight import / export department for Australia while ensuring the effective day to day operations. This includes monitoring adherence to regulatory compliance. This role will include, but not limited to, building relationships with carriers, terminals and industry regulators and new business development.

Duties and responsibilities

- Set and maintain best practise within the airfreight department to ensure product
- stability and consistent service levels and operations.
- Adhere to KPI's for volume measurement, forecasting, client performance and profitability.
- Build strong and sustainable relationships with airlines, agents and clients - both internal and external
- Maximise growth and profit opportunities with existing clients as well as assisting in developing new clients and opportunities.
- Monitor and maintain legal and compliance requirements adheres to relevant international and national air transport guidelines.




- Engage regulatory authorities as and when required to ensure standard operating procedures are current and relevant.
- Checking and closing of jobs to accurate invoicing and to review profitability.
- Support to the members of the airfreight team with issues, queries and workload
- Address and resolve any escalated customer queries.
- Responsibility for day-to-day operations shipments to customers’ satisfaction.

ABOUT YOU

- Knowledge and understanding of AS400 and EDI Cargowise operating systems.
- Sound knowledge of international airfreight regulations and statutory requirements
- Relevant Australian freight industry experience and product knowledge
- Effective time and task management as per requirements or deadlines.
- Being adaptable and accepting change.
- Robust attention to detail.
- Resilience - handle challenges in a professional consistent manner

Salary negotiable for the right person with relevant skills.
