Disability Support Worker (DSW)

About The Role

We’re looking for dedicated Disability Support Workers to join the Milestone Support Services team! If you’re passionate about empowering others and making a genuine difference, we’d love to hear from you.

As a Disability Support Worker, You’ll:

- Mentor and support participants as well as junior staff
- Assist with rosters and day-to-day service delivery
- Facilitate community engagement and build independence
- Provide personal care, meal preparation, and appointment support
- Help men and women transition positively back into the community

About You:

We’re seeking enthusiastic, energetic, and self-motivated individuals to join Milestone Support Services. You’ll be passionate about social inclusion and committed to supporting people to live the life they choose.

What We’re Looking For:

- 2+ years’ experience in disability, mental health, or corrections
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills




- Genuine passion for working with psychosocial disability (schizophrenia, bipolar, PTSD, intellectual disability)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening, Police Check, Driver’s Licence, and insured vehicle
- Nurses, Social Workers, and candidates with a valid WWCC are highly regarded

- Can provide support across all aspects of a participant’s needs
- Are willing to travel across the Sydney region
- Build strong rapport with participants and families, with excellent communication skills
- Are flexible and available for shift work
- Stay calm and proactive in challenging situations
- Understand the importance of professional boundaries, confidentiality, privacy, and duty of care
