Brisbane South PHN is one of 31 regional Primary Health Networks (PHNs) established nationally by the Australian Government to help deliver an efficient and effective primary health care system for the people of Australia.

We work with health professionals and communities to understand our region’s health and wellbeing needs, and commission services that respond to those needs. About the role

Brisbane South PHN has an exciting opportunity to become part of our Mental Health, Suicide Prevention and Alcohol and Other Drugs (MHSPAOD) team. The Project Officer position This will provide high-quality project, planning, stakeholder engagement and administrative support across a range of MHSPAOD initiatives, with a strong focus on supporting Joint Regional Planning and Partnerships activities.

This is a full-time fixed term role to 30 June 2027.

The objective of this position is to:

Provide high-quality project support, particularly for Joint Regional Planning and Partnerships activities.

Contribute to the delivery of integrated, place-based planning initiatives that strengthen system coordination and improve outcomes for priority populations.

Support the achievement of program and project goals that contribute to Brisbane South PHN's strategic vision and objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting planning, coordination and implementation of regional planning and partnership activities.

Coordinating stakeholder engagement activities including workshops, forums and consultations.

Providing project administration, documentation, reporting and secretariat support.

Assisting with communications,



event coordination and stakeholder engagement activities.

Supporting data collection, reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement activities.

About you

To be successful in this position, you will bring the following:

Experience in project, program or administrative support roles within the health, community services or related sectors.

Demonstrated ability to support project delivery, including coordination, documentation and reporting.

Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to prepare written materials for diverse audiences.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn current systems and platforms.

Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

Current driver's licence and willingness to travel locally when required

Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Blue Card and National Police Check.

Understanding of the Australian health system, particularly the mental health, suicide prevention and/or alcohol and other drugs sectors.

Experience supporting partnerships, planning processes or place-based initiatives.

Experience in data collection, reporting and evaluation activities.

Experience in communications, stakeholder engagement,



newsletter development or event coordination.

Tertiary qualifications in health, public health, business or a related discipline (or working towards).
