Our client, Dubbo Base Hospital & Health Service, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Mental Health Inpatient Unit for a six-week contract role. Based in Dubbo, NSW, this position runs from 17 August to 28 September 2026 and offers an opportunity to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to inpatients in a supportive clinical environment. The successful candidate will earn between AUD$45.00 and AUD$60.00 per hour, working within a dedicated mental health team committed to recovery-focused practice.

- Six-week contract with flexible hourly rates from AUD$45 to AUD$60 per hour
- Work in a specialist mental health inpatient setting with a collaborative, recovery-oriented team
- Based in Dubbo, NSW with clear contract dates and defined duration

Preferred Requirements

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia




- Demonstrated experience and competence in mental health nursing
- Solid assessment and communication skills, with the ability to build therapeutic relationships with patients
- Knowledge of mental health legislation, duty of care, and risk management in inpatient settings
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Post-graduate qualification or specialisation in mental health nursing
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
