Job Description

The AD Trust & The ID Trust & The MD Trust & The RD Trust The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery and equipment used in cold storage, warehousing, and product handling operations. The successful candidate will ensure machinery operates efficiently, safely, and in accordance with operational procedures while maintaining product quality and workplace safety standards.

Task & Responsibilities

- Operate machinery and equipment used in cold storage and warehouse operations safely and efficiently.
- Set up, adjust, and monitor machinery to ensure optimum operational performance.
- Conduct routine pre-start, operational, and shutdown inspections of machinery and equipment.
- Monitor production and warehouse processes to ensure product quality and operational efficiency.
- Identify and report equipment faults, malfunctions, or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Perform minor machine adjustments and routine maintenance within authorised limits.
- Load and unload materials into machinery following safe operating procedures.
- Ensure products are handled, stored, and moved in accordance with food safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate operational records, production logs, and equipment reports.
- Keep work areas clean and maintain housekeeping standards.
- Comply with workplace health and safety (WHS), food safety, HACCP, and environmental requirements.




- Work collaboratively with supervisors and warehouse staff to achieve operational targets.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and material handling as required.
- Follow company policies, operating procedures, and quality management systems at all times.

Qualification & Experience

- AQF Certificate II, Certificate III, or equivalent vocational qualification in Manufacturing, Warehousing, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field (desirable but not mandatory).
- Minimum 1-3 year of relevant full-time experience operating machinery in manufacturing, warehousing, cold storage, logistics, food processing, or a similar industrial environment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently while maintaining production targets.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS), safe operating procedures, and hazard awareness.
- Ability to identify equipment faults and report maintenance requirements.
- Good communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a temperature-controlled cold storage environment.
- Ability to work a minimum of 38 ordinary hours per week, with reasonable additional hours as required by operational needs.
