About the role
As a Hospital in Your Home Registered Nurse, you’ll provide high-quality acute, complex and palliative care to patients in the comfort of their own homes.
You’ll have the opportunity to use a broad range of nursing skills, including:
- IV antibiotic administration and day infusions
- Complex wound care and management
- Comprehensive clinical assessments
- Care planning and clinical reviews
- Clinical troubleshooting and escalation
- Palliative and end-of-life care
- Patient and family education
- Care coordination and referrals
- Working collaboratively with patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals
This is a role where your clinical expertise,
independence and communication skills really matter.

About you
You’re an experienced Registered Nurse, who is confident working independently and brings strong clinical judgement, excellent communication and a genuine commitment to patient-centred care.
You’re adaptable, enthusiastic and enjoy having variety in your clinical practice.
Essential requirements
- Minimum 2 year post-graduate experience in acute or palliative care nursing
- Current AHPRA registration – unendorsed
- Current Queensland driver’s licence
- Relevant Australian working rights
- Ability to obtain and pass a police check
- Current IV cannulation certification, or willingness to complete this soon after commencement
Desirable experience
- Critical care experience or qualifications
- Complex wound care
- Palliative care - desirable but not essential
- Community-based healthcare
