Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Dynatrace System Administrator to support the administration, operation and ongoing improvement of a new Dynatrace environment.
The role has a strong focus on hands‑on Dynatrace administration. You will work across daily operational support, platform transition, project delivery and continuous improvement activities.
The role is available in Sydney or Canberra, with Brisbane also considered. You will work in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities
- Administer, configure and support the Dynatrace platform.
- Monitor platform health, performance and availability.
- Investigate and resolve Dynatrace incidents and technical issues.
- Support application, infrastructure and performance monitoring.
- Maintain and improve dashboards, alerts, configurations and monitoring capabilities.
- Support the implementation and ongoing development of the new Dynatrace platform.
- Help transition the platform into ongoing BAU support.
- Establish operational procedures and service support processes.
- Support Service Desk and broader IT Service Operations activities.
- Apply ITIL v4 principles across service management and operational activities.
- Work within a Service Integration and Management environment.
- Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders and external service providers.
- Develop technical documentation, procedures and operational knowledge articles.
- Contribute to process design and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in Agile, Lean and Kanban delivery practices where appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to improve platform performance, monitoring coverage, service delivery and operational efficiency.
Skills and experience
- Strong hands‑on Dynatrace administration experience.
- At least one to three years of practical Dynatrace experience.
- Three to five years of broader experience across system administration, IT operations, Service Desk or a similar technical environment.
- Strong knowledge of IT Service Management and ITIL v4.
- Experience supporting enterprise platforms within complex technology environments.
- Knowledge of Service Integration and Management practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience balancing BAU support with project delivery.
- Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently within a small multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to interpret monitoring data and translate findings into meaningful operational insights.
- Experience developing transparent technical and process documentation.
Desirable criteria
- Dynatrace certification.
- ServiceNow administration experience.
- Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow within an ITSM environment.
- Experience in process design and continuous improvement.
- Experience with Lean and Kanban methodologies.
- Experience working within Agile project or software delivery environments.
- Experience implementing or transitioning a new technology platform into BAU operations.
- Previous Australian Government experience or experience in a complex regulated environment.
- Graduate qualification in Information Technology, Business or a related discipline.
