We're hiring Parcel Sorters for the seasonal peak at Australia's largest postal delivery network's Redbank facility. You'll be sorting parcels and mail, manually and with machine assistance, to keep deliveries moving through the busiest stretch of the year.
Sidekicker connects you with shift work - you'll be paid weekly through Sidekicker as your employer of record, with shifts booked directly through our platform with a range of similar companies across Queensland and the rest of the country.
Seasonal roles for this client run from October through to early new year, depending on parcel volume. Multiple shift types are available - with both AM and PM shifts available 7 days a week. Work as much or as little as you want!
What you'll typically be doing during your shift:
Manually sorting parcels and mail, with machine and scanner assistance
Loading and unloading parcels from bags, trays, containers, and cages
in co-ordination with the rest of the operations team
Assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks and containers
What you'll need:
To be fit and strong - comfortable with physically demanding work, including regular (and safe) lifting up to 16kg objects
PPE gear - including your own hi-vis vest & steel-capped boots
A valid police check, or ability to complete a statutory declaration
Good memory recall and hand-eye coordination
Willingness to handle parcels that may contain meat and/or alcohol products
A paid mandatory in office induction is required before your first shift, hosted during the of September 7th and the 21st which will also require you to undertake a drug & alcohol test. The site also conducts regular and random drug & alcohol testing of all staff - further details can be provided on application. Eligible visa holders are welcome to apply.
