About the Role
As a Practical Guidance Lawyer & Legal Writer specialising in Consumer Law, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing practical legal content that helps lawyers work more efficiently and confidently.
You will play a key role in ensuring our content remains practical, accurate and aligned with the realities of modern legal practice while supporting the evolution of LexisNexis' AI-powered legal solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating,
reviewing and updating practical Consumer Law guidance, precedents, checklists and related resources
- Translating complex legal concepts into clear, practical and user-friendly content
- Working closely with product, editorial and technology teams to embed legal expertise into innovative legal research and workflow solutions
- Monitoring legislative, regulatory and market developments to ensure content remains current and relevant
- Supporting engagement with customers, industry stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Contributing insights that help shape the future direction of legal content and legal technology
About You
You are an experienced Australian lawyer with strong technical expertise in Consumer Law and a practical understanding of how lawyers work.
You may currently be in private practice, government or an in-house legal team and are looking for a role that allows you to continue using your legal expertise in a more flexible, sustainable and influential way.
To be successful, you will bring:
- At least 3-5 years' post-admission experience
- Experience advising on Consumer Law matters in private practice, government or in-house environments
- Exceptional legal research and analytical skills
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to write clearly in plain English
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative approach and willingness to work across legal, product and technology teams
- An interest in legal innovation,
AI-enabled legal research and emerging legal technology trends
