Responsibilities

- Drive test strategy and champion quality practices across the full development lifecycle.
- Mentor engineers, guide tool selection, and shape squad-level QA processes.
- Lead complex, strategic initiatives within the squad and undertake technical leadership on AI‑assisted testing.
- Evaluate AI‑assisted testing tools, critically review AI‑generated code and tests, and recommend adoption.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to mitigate risk, define testing plans, and ensure robust test coverage.
- Identify, document, and track complex software defects with actionable insights.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis and drive quick resolution of critical defects.
- Advocate “Shift‑Left” testing and early quality integration into the SDLC.
- Support CI/CD improvements and automate test integration into build pipelines.
- Participate in technical hiring, evaluate candidates, and mentor junior QA engineers.
- Communicate quality health and release readiness to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Run security validation steps and adhere to data protection and compliance guidelines.

Technical Skills

- Manual and automated testing techniques with Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
- Solid programming skills – JavaScript (ES6) preferred; SQL and RESTful API testing experience.
- CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and test automation integration.
- Version control (Git) and cloud environments such as AWS.
- Hands‑on experience with at least one AI‑assisted testing tool or workflow, e.g., AI‑generated test cases,



self‑healing tests, AI‑assisted visual/regression comparison.
- Awareness of responsible AI use in QA, including data protection and avoiding over‑reliance on AI output.

Desired Experience

- At least 5+ years of software quality assurance, strong background in automated testing.
- Proven leadership of quality initiatives and improvement projects.
- Experience with Atlassian suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket).
- Experience with performance, security, and scalability testing.
- Web/mobile testing frameworks including Playwright, Selenium, or Appium.
- Experience with DevOps and continuous integration environments.
- QA mentoring experience.
- Early test‑architect thinking and comfort reviewing AI‑generated or developer‑written test suites.
