The Brainy Bunchis seeking anexperiencedAHPRA registered psychologistwith Clinical Psychologyor Neuropsychology areaof practice endorsementto join ourfriendly multidisciplinaryteam in NormanPark, QLD asanindependent contractor.

This role isfocused onconductingcomprehensive psychometricand cognitive assessmentsfor children, adolescents& young adults to assist inthe diagnosis andmanagement of neurodevelopmental, psychiatric and neurologicalconditions.

Our clinic internally refers from our paediatricneurologists, paediatricians & child andadolescent psychiatrists. As well as receiving external referrals, providinga varied andrewarding caseload.

This is anexcellent opportunity forn experiencedpsychologist who enjoys diagnosticwork and valuescollaboration within asupportive, evidence-basedenvironment.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive cognitive, academic and psychometricassessments usingstandardised assessmenttools, including WISC, WIAT, MIGDAS, YDIVA +++
- Integrate assessment findingswith developmental history, clinical interviews andbehavioural observations.
- Prepare high-qualitypsychological assessmentreports with cleardiagnostic formulationsand practical recommendationsfor families, schoolsand referring clinicians.
- Assess children, adolescents & young adults presenting with a broad range of neurodevelopmental, psychiatric and neurological conditions, including:
- ADHD
- Learning Disorders
- Anxiety and mooddisorders
- Epilepsy
- A range of neurologicaland developmental presentations
- Liaise closely withreferring paediatric neurologists, paediatricians, psychiatrists, GPs, schools andallied health professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinarycase discussions andcollaborative care planning.
- Maintain accurate andtimely clinical documentationin accordance withAHPRA standards andethical guidelines.
- Engage in ongoingprofessional developmentand contribute toa team-oriented learningenvironment within theclinic.

About you





- Youwill bean experienced psychologistwho enjoys assessmentwork and ispassionate about supportingchildren and youngpeople with a range of developmental, neurologicaland mental healthpresentations.
- Currentgeneral registration withAHPRA as apsychologist.
- Clinical Psychology orNeuropsychology Area ofPractice Endorsement.
- Demonstrated experiencewithpsychometric assessments.
- Excellent clinicalinterviewing, diagnostic formulationand report writingskills.
- Strong communication andinterpersonal skills.
- Ability to workindependently while collaboratingeffectively within amultidisciplinary team.
- Experience assessing children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as working with patients presenting with a range of psychiatric and neurological conditions, including acquired brain injury and epilepsy.
- Confidence integrating assessmentfindings from multiplesources to providecomprehensivediagnosticrecommendations.
- Experience working collaborativelywith medical specialistsand allied healthprofessionals.
