Salary Range - $189,400 to $208,228 + superannuation

The Director, Information Services is a pivotal senior executive leadership position within the Legislature-General, forming part of the executive management team responsible for providing strategic direction, visionary leadership and operational excellence across information and information technology management of the Parliament.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Legislature-General, you will lead a diverse portfolio spanning Information and Communication Technology Services, Parliamentary Reporting Services, and the Parliamentary Library and Research Service.

The Parliament of Tasmania is a meeting place where elected representatives meet to make laws, authorise the expenditure of public funds, scrutinise the government of the day, and give a voice to their constituents in the electorates. The Parliament is made up of three (3) separate Departments consisting of House of Assembly, Legislative Council, and Legislature - General.

Location

- Significant demonstrated experience leading a service deliveryorganisation, with a proventrack recordof implementingorganisationalchange and transforming service delivery within a diverseorganisation, ideally within a parliamentary or government context.
- Demonstrated capability to inspire a sense of purpose and direction, with the ability to provide high-level analysis and strategic advice,identifyemergingissuesand assess strategic and financial merits and risks.
- Robust leadership and strategic capability, including the ability to buildorganisationalcapability, harness professionalexpertise, steer and implement change and deliver on intended results.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A sound understanding of information management, ICT governance principles, cybersecurity, and digital transformation within a complexorganisationalcontext.
- Demonstrated capacity to cultivate productive working relationships and foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
- Have or be able to obtain a ‘national police record check’.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen, or hold a current visa which allows you to work in Australia in a permanent full-time role.
