Senior Façade Engineer | Brisbane / Sydney
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Façade Engineer to join one of Australia’s largest and most established façade engineering teams.

With a strong pipeline of newly secured projects and continued investment in the façade discipline nationally, the business is looking to add an experienced engineer to its growing team. Brisbane is the preferred location, joining an established CBD office, although Sydney-based candidates will also be considered.

This is a great chance for someone looking to work within a sizeable specialist façade group, with access to experienced technical leaders, major projects and a broad national network.
The role will suit an engineer who enjoys technically challenging façade design and wants to take greater ownership of projects, clients and delivery.

The Opportunity

- Join one of the largest façade engineering teams in Australia, with a strong national presence and extensive technical capability.
- Work across an exciting pipeline of newly won and upcoming projects spanning a variety of building types and sectors.
- Lead façade engineering and design packages from concept and design development through to detailed design, documentation and delivery.
- Work across a broad range of façade materials, systems and construction methodologies.
- Take responsibility for technical design, coordination, reviews and problem solving throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, contractors, developers and other specialist consultants.




- Provide technical guidance and support to more junior engineers while working alongside experienced senior façade specialists.
- Build strong client relationships and become increasingly involved in project leadership and broader team development.

About You Ideally, you will bring:

- Approximately 7–10+ years' experience in façade engineering, building envelope design or a closely related discipline.
- Strong technical experience across new-build façade design, ideally gained within an engineering consultancy or architectural environment.
- Experience designing and reviewing a variety of façade systems and materials, which may include curtain walling, unitised systems, glazing, aluminium, precast concrete, stone, lightweight cladding and other building envelope systems.
- A strong understanding of façade performance, constructability, interfaces and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Experience taking projects from early-stage concept through detailed design, documentation and construction.
- Confidence working directly with clients, architects, builders and other consultants.




- The ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and provide practical, commercially considered solutions.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian building codes, standards and façade performance requirements.
- The ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to developing engineers.

Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Architecture or another relevant building/façade discipline.
- Professional accreditation or membership with Engineers Australia or another relevant professional body would be advantageous.
- Experience with relevant façade design, analysis, BIM and documentation software will be highly regarded.

Location & Package Brisbane CBD is the preferred location, however there is flexibility for the successful person to be based in Sydney.
Salary guide: $120,000 – $170,000 + super, depending on experience, technical capability and level.
