Join our Group Linen Service team in this casual opportunity, helping ensure clean, quality linen gets where it needs to go—efficiently, safely and on time. Casual rostered hours can be between the hours of 8am and 8pm and applicants would need to be available to work within these hours with the opportunity to participate in overtime if required either side of these times. You’ll play a hands-on role across the production and distribution of linen, supporting our clients and keeping workflow running smoothly. You’ll work as part of a team where safety, efficiency and great customer service are all part of the job.
Reporting to the Supervisor, with oversight from the Production Manager, you'll be an important part of delivering a reliable linen service to Queensland Health clients.
Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- This is a manual handling position requiring you to:
- repetitive manual handling of laundry items
- feeding linen into machines
- handling linen items
- sorting soiled linen.
- Some workstations require the use of specialised PPE
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use automated machinery and some computerised equipment
- Ability to develop team-oriented working relationships with key stakeholders and team members and ability to effectively communicate and influence staff.
