Contribute to exceptional patient care by delivering Occupational Therapy services across a broad range of acute and sub-acute clinical areas within Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS). Drawing on qualified knowledge, skills, and clinical judgement, this role plays a vital part in improving patient outcomes, fostering independence, and supporting multidisciplinary healthcare delivery.

About us:

Allied Health Services provides multidisciplinary care across a range of specialties, including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics and Nutrition, Social Work, Speech Pathology, Audiology, Exercise Physiology, and Pharmacy.

Key focus areas include:

- Prevention and Maintenance
Supporting early intervention and health management strategies to help community members maintain independence and wellbeing.
- Restoration and Rehabilitation
Delivering inpatient, outpatient, and in-home services that assist individuals to recover, regain function, and achieve their best possible quality of life.
- Outreach Care
Providing specialist and allied health services to rural and remote communities, improving access to care closer to home.

About your role:





In this position you will…..

- Actively participating in the development of clinical instructions and procedures under the guidance of senior clinicians.
- Contributing to the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement activities including effective risk management, in order to enhance the delivery of safe and efficient Occupational Therapy clinical services.
- Providing clinical practice and education to work experience students and Occupational Therapy students with the support of senior clinical staff, commensurate with level of experience.
