Monaro Fuel Haulage is seeking experienced and professional MC Drivers to join our Adelaide operations on permanent 7 Night (PM) rostered shifts / 7 non-rostered shifts.
We are currently recruiting drivers to operate:
- 23-metre combinations
- 19-metre combinations
This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for secure, permanent employment, a predictable roster and genuine work-life balance, with every alternate week completely off.
The Position
The successful applicants will work either:
- Seven consecutive night shifts, followed by seven days off.
The positions will be offered on a permanent salaried basis, with applicable meal allowances paid in addition to the salary.
Drivers will be allocated to either a 23-metre or 19-metre combination based on their experience, qualifications and operational requirements.
You will be responsible for the safe and productive transportation and delivery of fuel products throughout Adelaide and surrounding areas while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer service.
Additional Earning Potential
Drivers who choose to pick up additional shifts during their rostered week off will be paid for those shifts at the applicable local driver rate, in addition to their normal salary.
This provides the security of a permanent salary while also offering drivers the opportunity to increase their overall earnings through optional additional shifts.
All additional shifts will be subject to availability, operational requirements and compliance with fatigue management and work-and-rest obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate 23-metre or 19-metre combination MC-rated fuel combinations.
- Complete scheduled fuel deliveries in accordance with customer and company requirements.
- Conduct vehicle and equipment pre-start inspections and promptly report any defects.
- Complete all required delivery paperwork and electronic job records accurately.
- Comply with fatigue management, mass management, dangerous goods and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
- Follow all terminal, depot and customer-site procedures.
- Maintain professional communication and presentation at all times.
- Keep vehicles and equipment clean and presented to a high standard.
- Complete loading and unloading activities safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
What We Are Looking For
Applicants should have:
- A current unrestricted MC drivers' licence.
- Experience operating MC combinations.
- Experience operating 23-metre or 19-metre combination combinations will be highly regarded.
- A current Dangerous Goods Driver Licence, or the ability to obtain one.
- A robust understanding of fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
- A safe driving history and demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and follow documented procedures.
- Flexibility to work either a permanent day shift or night shift roster.
Previous fuel transport or dangerous goods experience will be highly regarded. However, suitable training may be provided to experienced MC drivers who demonstrate the right attitude, safety focus and willingness to learn.
