Queensland Parliamentary Service is seeking an experienced employee relations qualified to provide expert advice and case management across a range of workforce matters. Working closely with stakeholders across the Parliamentary Service, you will support effective people management, ensure compliance with employment legislation and policies, and contribute to positive workplace outcomes.

Queensland Parliament is seeking an experienced and professional Senior People & Culture Advisor to join our People and Culture team. In this role, you will provide expert case management and trusted advice across a range of workplace matters, including performance, conduct, grievances, workplace investigations & rehabilitation cases and contribute to strong workforce management practices.
Key Objectives
- Provide expert employee relations advice and case management support across a range of workplace matters.
- Build the knowledge and capability of leaders to promote fair, consistent, and compliant people practices.
- Develop trusted relationships with stakeholders to deliver practical people and culture advice, manage workplace risk, and support positive outcomes.
Your Role
- Manage employee relations matters including performance, conduct, grievances, and workplace investigations.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on disciplinary processes, procedural fairness, documentation, and appropriate workplace actions.
- Interpret and apply legislation, industrial instruments, and organisational policies to provide accurate and timely advice.
- Assist with workers' compensation and rehabilitation programs.
- Prepare high-quality correspondence, submissions, briefing notes, reports and other documentation.
- Work with leaders to promote positive workplace behaviours, consistent decision-making, and fair outcomes.
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement opportunities across people and culture processes, systems, and services.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters and providing practical, risk-informed advice.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments, and contemporary P&C; practices, and the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong written skills with the ability to prepare high-quality correspondence and reports.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement, maintain confidentiality, and manage competing priorities.
- Experience in workers' compensation and rehabilitation coordination will be highly regarded.
