Kings Park
Experienced Creative Video Camera Operator / Editor
Job Summary
Your Energy Answers is looking for an experienced Creative Video Camera Operator / Editor to join our growing media team in Kings Park, Western Sydney.
This is a hands-on production role for someone who can film, edit and tell a strong story. The role is not just about operating a camera or cutting clips together. We need someone who can take technical topics like solar, batteries, EVs, factories, energy bills and the electricity grid, and turn them into videos that are clear, engaging and worth watching.
The successful candidate will work across long-form YouTube videos, social clips, interviews, site visits, product demonstrations, factory tours, event coverage and documentary-style content. You will be involved from shoot planning through to filming, editing, sound, captions, graphics, colour correction and final exports.
This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 4–5 years of professional video production experience who wants to take ownership of larger projects, improve their craft and help lift the standard of a fast-growing clean-energy media platform.
About the Role
As our Video Camera Operator / Editor, you will be responsible for creating high-quality video content that explains clean-energy topics in a way normal viewers can understand.
A typical project may involve travelling to a commercial solar site, battery installation, installer warehouse, factory, industry event or customer location. You may need to film interviews, capture strong B-roll, manage sound in difficult environments, work around machinery, film real people who are not used to being on camera, and then turn that footage into a structured and engaging video.
You will need to understand story, pacing, emotion, sound, titles, graphics, visual overlays and audience retention.
The right person will be both technically capable and creatively confident.
