Cadence have partnered with an established and growing Managed Services Provider to onboard a Project Engineer to join their Professional Services team.
You don’t necessarily need to already be a dedicated Project Engineer. We’re equally interested in speaking with strong Level 3 Engineers who have been involved in migrations, deployments, infrastructure upgrades or other client projects and have realised that project delivery is where they want to take their career.

You’ll join an experienced technical team where you can continue developing your capability while taking increasing ownership of delivering technology projects across a diverse customer base.

The Opportunity:

This role sits within the Professional Services / Project Delivery team and will see you working across the implementation of new technology and infrastructure for customers.

Rather than spending your entire day working through reactive support tickets, your primary focus will be delivering defined project outcomes, planning your work, implementing solutions, communicating with customers and ensuring projects are completed accurately and within scope.

You’ll also remain connected to the broader Managed Services team, providing technical assistance and escalation support when required.

What You'll Be Doing:

Your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering technical project work across customer environments
- Implementing new infrastructure, cloud and technology solutions
- Working through defined project scopes and technical deliverables




- Managing project tasks to agreed timeframes and budgets
- Completing migrations, deployments, upgrades and technology changes
- Communicating directly with customers throughout project delivery
- Identifying potential project delays, technical risks or scope variations early
- Improving repeatable deployments through standardisation and automation
- Acting as a technical escalation point where required
- Sharing technical knowledge with other Engineers
- Continuing to develop your technical and project delivery capability through training, mentoring and certifications

What We're Looking For:

There are potentially two backgrounds that could work particularly well.
You may already be working as a Project Engineer, Technical Consultant or Professional Services Engineer within an MSP and be looking for your next opportunity.

Alternatively, you could be a strong Level Engineer who has gained exposure to project work alongside BAU support and now wants the chance to move more heavily into project delivery.
Either way, you'll ideally bring:

- Strong experience working within a consulting environment
- Broad technical knowledge across modern Microsoft and infrastructure environments
- Hands-on experience contributing to or delivering IT projects
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability




- An understanding of project scope, change, risk and delivery principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence dealing directly with customers and stakeholders
- Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
- The ability to manage your workload and take ownership of outcomes
- A genuine desire to continue learning and developing technically
