Posistion: Solutions Specialist – UPS
Location: Liverpool, NSW
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $120,000-$160,000 plus super

We are seeking an experienced Technical Engineer to support the design and positioning of UPS and STS solutions across datacenter and healthcare environments.

This role will provide technical expertise throughout the sales and opportunity lifecycle, working closely with Business Development Managers, customers, consultants and project teams. The position will focus on application engineering, solution design, tender and proposal support, technical presentations and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide technical support for UPS and STS opportunities from qualification through to solution delivery.
- Design UPS architectures and solutions aligned with customer, consultant and regulatory requirements.
- Develop single-line diagrams (SLDs), BOQs, technical design packs and solution proposals.
- Size UPS systems, batteries, STS and power quality equipment.
- Support tenders, RFQs and proposals, including technical responses and compliance matrices.
- Engage with electrical consultants, contractors, facility managers and technical stakeholders.
- Provide technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops and training.
- Support integration requirements across BMS, DCIM, monitoring and remote management systems.
- Prepare accurate technical handover documentation for project delivery and service teams.
- Work collaboratively with sales, product, technical, service and project delivery teams.
- Ensure all solutions meet relevant safety, quality and regulatory requirements.





About You:

You will be an experienced electrical/electronics or power systems engineer with robust pre-sales and application engineering experience, ideally within critical power, UPS, datacenter or healthcare environments.

You will have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Power Systems Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5–8 years’ experience in pre-sales, application engineering or power quality design.
- Proven experience with UPS solutions, ideally within datacenter and/or healthcare environments.
- Strong knowledge of UPS architecture, redundancy, autonomy and efficiency requirements.
- Experience with VRLA and lithium-ion battery systems.
- Ability to size and configure UPS, battery, STS and power quality solutions.
- Understanding of BMS, DCIM, monitoring and remote management integration.
- Strong technical writing skills, including tenders, proposals and compliance documentation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage with customers, consultants and technical stakeholders.
