Astley's Building Supplies is a leading supplier of building and construction materials across regional NSW. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Trade Counter Sales Consultant to join our team in Dubbo.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for many of our customers, you will play a key role in providing exceptional service, building strong customer relationships, and supporting sales growth across our product range.
Your day will include:
- Assisting customers at the trade counter and over the phone
- Processing sales orders, quotations and invoices
- Providing product advice and solutions to trade and retail customers
- Coordinating customer orders and deliveries
- Supporting stock management and inventory control processes
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Working collaboratively with the yard, warehouse and sales teams
- Contributing to sales targets and business growth initiatives
About You
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Previous experience in retail sales, trade sales, customer service or building supplies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and positive attitude
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confidence using computer systems and point-of-sale software
- The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
Highly Regarded
- Experience within the building, construction, hardware, plumbing or industrial supply industries
- Knowledge of building materials and construction products
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
