About Us

ADF Health Services provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. As part of this contract, Serco, in partnership with Bupa, provide defence‑ready clinical and support staff across 50+ on‑base locations nationally, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on‑site medical care.

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing chair‑side assistance to the Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist in the delivery of dental services to patients. You will also assist with administrative tasks such as entering/updating patient records as well as other duties as required by the Dentist including promotion of oral health to patients and maintaining optimal hygiene of the surgery.

This is a Fixed Term Full Time position working Monday to Friday until 18th December 2026.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 2 years (full time equivalent) experience within the last 5 years
- Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi‑disciplinary team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high‑quality care to patients within a dental surgery





About Albatross Health Centre

The Albatross Health Centre is located at Nowra on the South Coast of NSW, approximately 2.5 hours from Sydney CBD. HMAS Albatross is the largest operational naval establishment in Australia and the Navy’s only air station. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, dental, mental health, physiotherapy, nursing and pharmaceutical services to up to 1500 ADF members. Standard hours of operation are generally 0730‑1530 Monday‑Friday, with medical officers on‑call for aviation retrieval.
