About the role

FVS Fire is seeking a talented 2nd or 3rd year Carpentry Apprentice to join our growing team in South East Queensland. This is a full time position based in Brisbane, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your carpentry skills within a professional and supportive environment. As an apprentice at this stage of your training, you will be working under the guidance of experienced tradespeople, progressing towards becoming a qualified carpenter whilst contributing meaningfully to our projects and operations.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting experienced carpenters with the installation, fabrication and repair of fire doors and fire penetrations
- Preparing materials, tools and work areas in accordance with safety standards and project requirements
- Assisting with testing and maintenance to AS1851.2012
- Following detailed plans, drawings and instructions to ensure quality workmanship
- Maintaining a clean and organised work site in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Progressively taking on more complex tasks under supervision as your skills develop
- Supporting the team to complete projects on time and to the required standard
- Contributing to a positive and collaborative workplace culture

What we're looking for

- Currently enrolled in or having completed your 2nd or 3rd year of a carpentry apprenticeship
- A genuine interest in developing your carpentry skills and achieving your full qualification
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A proactive approach to learning and willingness to take on new challenges




- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks safely
- A valid Queensland driver's licence is required (manual preferred)
- A commitment to workplace health and safety practices
- Reliability and a professional attitude towards work
