The Department of Paediatrics within the Melbourne Medical School is seeking Expressions of Interest for the position of Academic Lead (Outreach).

Your next career opportunity In this Academic Lead (Outreach) role, you will design and deliver impactful education and capability-building initiatives across Victoria’s paediatric services. You will lead statewide learning networks, communities of practice and outreach programmes that connect clinicians, educators, researchers and health services. You will help shape a paediatric Learning Health System by translating evidence into practice and strengthening outcomes for children and young people.

What you will deliver:

- Lead the strategic design, implementation and evaluation of the Education Hub Outreach Program aligned with Campus and system priorities.
- Design, deliver and refine innovative education and capability-building initiatives for metropolitan, regional and rural paediatric workforces.
- Establish and sustain statewide communities of practice, learning collaboratives and professional networks that enable knowledge sharing and improvement.
- Drive educational research,



evaluation and knowledge translation activities that strengthen Learning Health System approaches and inform continuous improvement.
- Build and lead partnerships across health services, professional bodies, academia and government while mentoring Education Hub team members.

You may be a great fit if you:

- Hold a health qualified qualification with AHPRA registration in Australia, or clear eligibility for registration.
- Lead education, capability-building or workforce development programmes across healthcare settings, achieving measurable outcomes.
- Build and sustain collaborative networks, communities of practice or learning collaboratives with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Contribute to health professions education and/or education research, with a record of scholarly outputs or impact.
- Apply Learning Health System, implementation science, knowledge translation or quality improvement approaches to support practice change.
- Manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects and communicate effectively to influence clinicians, educators, leaders and consumers.
