Account Manager (PR & Communications) - Mid-level role

About the Role

We’re looking for a sharp, proactive Account Manager to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on delivering standout earned media, building strong client relationships and bringing creative campaign ideas to life. You’ll work across a mix of purpose-led clients (some of Australia's best charities!), leading day-to-day account delivery while contributing to bigger-picture strategy, activations and storytelling.

This is a mid-level role, with some elements of client management required, but assistance and guidance from senior staff offered.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management & Strategy

- Lead day-to-day management of client accounts, acting as a trusted point of contact
- Contribute to campaign strategy, messaging, and PR planning
- Manage timelines, deliverables and expectations

Earned Media

- Develop and execute media strategies that deliver meaningful coverage
- Build and maintain solid relationships with key media contacts
- Write compelling pitches, media releases and story angles
- Secure high-quality coverage across print, online, broadcast, and social

Activations, Events & Influencer Campaigns

- Support the planning and execution of creative activations, influencer campaigns and events
- Think beyond traditional PR to generate buzz-worthy ideas
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to bring campaigns to life

Media Training

- Support and deliver media training for clients
- Develop key messaging and talking points

Content Creation (occasionally, as needed)





- Develop high-quality written content including op-eds, blogs, and social copy
- Ensure all content aligns with client tone, messaging and objectives

Ideal candidate

- Experience in media and/or PR roles preferred (agency experience highly regarded)
- Confident dealing directly with clients and leading conversations
- A natural storyteller with strong writing skills
- Highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused
- Comfortable juggling multiple clients and deadlines
- Creative thinker who brings fresh, out-of-the-box ideas
- Happy to travel - across Sydney and interstate as required. Ability to drive is essential!
- We're based in the Sutherland Shire, and the team thrives when we're in the office bouncing ideas off each other. So, ideally your commute to the Shire wouldn't be too far!
