Account Manager x2 (Sydney)Job Summary
What is the focus of the role? As an Account Manager you will own the Telstra sales and service relationship with customers in your territory, working in partnership with your aligned Channel Partner to drive account health, revenue growth and a premium customer experience.
With your aligned Channel Partner, you will co-create the Territory plan and provide ongoing support to empower the Channel Partner to lead the identification, pursuit and closure of sales opportunities. You will understand customer priorities and drive partner performance across your entire portfolio to increase adoption of Telstra products and services, ultimately ensuring the creation and conversion of a healthy sales pipeline, and the delivery of exceptional sales moments to our customers.
You will proactively manage customer service and experience, including taking ownership of customer issues, interfacing with our Customer Success Desk and internal Telstra resolver teams, and managing customer communications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Take accountability for the management of an assigned territory, owning the sales, profitability and customer service relationship for all customers within the territory
- Leverage sound interpersonal skills to nurture the customer relationship and contribute to account health, strategic profitable growth and improved customer experience
- Work in collaboration with your aligned Channel Partner to establish, maintain and execute your territory plan end to end, including whitespace penetration and sales strategy
- Provide support and oversight of your aligned Channel Partner as they lead the successful execution of sales activity across your customer base
- Proactively manage retention and churn within your customer portfolio, ensuring that products and services meet customer expectations
- Own customer problems end-to-end, acting as the interface into Telstra support teams; independently resolve L0/1 requests, escalating other issues to Telstra resolver groups
- Develop and execute customer engagement and communication strategy for the territory
- Leverage AI-powered tools, data insights and analytics to improve forecast accuracy, accelerate pipeline progression and drive more effective territory planning
- Drive regular reporting to monitor portfolio performance against defined financial and customer targets (sales, revenue, profitability, NPS)
- Ensure operational hygiene with your aligned Channel Partner, including currency and relevancy of customer information in Phoenix (CRM)
- Co-ordinate the completion of Next Best Actions (NBAs) and product migrations/exits
- Participate in knowledge sharing initiatives (market insights, customer focused cross-functional collaboration) that contribute to the development of sales and market trend knowledge and support strategic customer conversations
About you
- At least 3 years’ working experience in Sales, Customer-facing, Customer Success, or Business-to-Business sales or service role. Experience working in technology or software industry is preferred.
- Experience in sales opportunity management.
- Exceptional skills in customer relationship management.
- Partner opportunity management experience.
- Robust experience in portfolio analysis and planning.
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
- Customer centricity and commercial acumen skills.
- University qualification in Business, Commerce or relevant other fields, highly regarded
