Role Description The Affiliate Manager / Community Manager is a part-time, remote role responsible for developing and nurturing a network of affiliates, partners, and community members around datos.gob.es and the broader open data ecosystem. Day-to-day activities include identifying and onboarding new affiliates, maintaining relationships with existing partners, and coordinating joint campaigns and initiatives to promote data reuse.

The role involves managing online communities on relevant channels, moderating discussions, sharing updates, and encouraging engagement among stakeholders such as public administrations, private companies, infomediaries, and data practitioners.

The Affiliate

Manager / Community Manager will collaborate with internal teams to align messaging, track performance of affiliate and community activities, and provide feedback on opportunities for outreach, education, and growth. This position requires proactive communication, structured follow-up, and a solid interest in digital innovation and open data.

Qualifications





- Candidates should possess strong Affiliate Management and Account Management skills to build, maintain, and grow partner and stakeholder relationships.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage diverse audiences and manage online communities effectively.
- Candidates should possess Sales and Online Marketing skills to design and execute outreach, promotional campaigns, and engagement strategies.
- Candidates should have experience with community management tools, social media platforms, and basic analytics for tracking engagement and performance.
- Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of open data, digital transformation, or public sector innovation, with the ability to learn quickly and work autonomously.
- Candidates should be comfortable working remotely, managing their time efficiently, and collaborating with multilingual, cross-functional teams; proficiency in English and Spanish is highly beneficial.
