AI Infrastructure Installation Supervisor

- 12 Month Contract | Day Rate
- Must be based in Melbourne OR Sydney
- Onsite / Travel may be required

We're partnering with a leading technology organisation looking for an AI Infrastructure Installation Supervisor to lead the onsite deployment of high-performance computing (HPC) and AI infrastructure across customer data centres. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows data centre infrastructure inside out and can take a deployment from site readiness and logistics through to installation, commissioning and customer signoff .

You'll coordinate onsite teams, vendors and subcontractors while working closely with engineering, facilities and customer stakeholders to make sure complex AI infrastructure is installed safely, correctly and to specification.

What you'll be doing

- Lead onsite deployment of AI / HPC and high-density compute infrastructure
- Coordinate installation teams, vendors and subcontractors
- Oversee rack & stack, structured cabling, PDUs, power, grounding and connectivity
- Manage site readiness across power, cooling, floor loading, space, access and logistics
- Coordinate hardware deliveries, inventory, staging and installation schedules
- Support commissioning, power-up, testing and burn-in activities
- Oversee liquid and air cooling infrastructure , including leak detection
- Work with facilities teams around BMS,



power and cooling systems
- Identify and manage onsite risks, issues and installation deviations
- Ensure solid H&S; and quality practices throughout the deployment
- Own installation tracking, QA and as-built documentation
- Lead customer walkthroughs and final installation handover

What we're looking for

- Strong experience delivering large-scale data centre, HPC or AI infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with rack & stack, cabling, power and cooling
- Experience supervising field teams, contractors or subcontractors
- Strong understanding of high-density data centre environments
- Experience with GPU / AI infrastructure or HPC deployments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of liquid cooling, BMS and data centre power management is a big plus
- Comfortable reading rack elevations, network diagrams and technical drawings
- Experience with commissioning, testing and installation QA
- Strong H&S; and site management experience
- Excellent communication skills and confidence acting as the senior onsite point of contact
- Willingness to travel and work onsite for extended deployment periods
