Role Description The Allocations Co-ordinator is a full-time/ part time, role based in Caroline Springs, Melbourne, VIC. The role involves managing staff rosters and scheduling support workers to meet client needs, ensuring coverage in line with service agreements and organizational policies. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing service requests, matching workers to shifts, updating allocation systems, and communicating changes clearly to staff and clients.
The Allocations
Co-ordinator will liaise with internal teams to resolve scheduling conflicts, monitor service delivery, and respond promptly to urgent allocation issues.
The role also includes maintaining accurate records, preparing basic reports on allocation patterns, and contributing to process improvements that support effective and reliable service delivery.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in rostering, scheduling, or coordination roles, ideally within disability, community, or healthcare services.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency with computer systems and scheduling software, and confidence in using spreadsheets and databases.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including explicit, respectful communication with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
Sound problem-solving skills and attention to detail when assessing service needs and allocating resources.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Knowledge of disability support frameworks, relevant legislation, or NDIS processes is highly regarded.
Certificate or diploma in disability, community services, administration, or a related field is desirable, or equivalent experience.
