ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Manager – AM Bulk Operations to lead our morning bulk freight operations.

You will oversee the daily allocation and scheduling of freight, staff rostering, delivery performance, customer service and depot operations. You will also lead and support Supervisors, Team Leaders, Drivers, Forklift Drivers and Dockhands to ensure a secure, efficient and high-performing operation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead, coach and support Supervisors, Team Leaders and operational staff.
- Manage daily bulk freight operations and freight movements.
- Allocate and schedule freight to achieve on-time deliveries.
- Manage staff rosters and daily operational requirements.
- Monitor delivery performance and resolve operational issues.
- Manage customer enquiries and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and WHS requirements.
- Complete administration including payroll, scheduling, reporting and incident management.
- Maintain high standards of depot presentation, security and safety.




- Support recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service.

ABOUT YOU To be successful, you will have:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in transport and logistics.
- Strong knowledge of road freight and local transport operations.
- Experience in freight allocation, scheduling and delivery management.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Experience with payroll, reporting and transport systems.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
