The AOD Case Manager / Counsellor holds a key professional role in providing comprehensive and client-centred support to women undergoing treatment for alcohol and other drug dependence.
This position provides therapeutic supports focused on the recovery of women seeking to overcome substance dependency in a residential rehabilitation setting.
The primary purpose of this position is to:
Provide trauma-informed, person-centred, and strengths-based interventions including the implementation of relapse prevention strategies.
Achieve meaningful and sustainable recovery outcomes through case management, counselling, assessment, care planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Bring a deep understanding of the complex social, psychological, health, and environmental factors that influence substance use and recovery.
The AOD Case Manager / Counsellor delivers culturally safe and non-judgmental services, with a particular emphasis on supporting Aboriginal women and their children and women who are pregnant.
Part time SCHADs 6 and 32 hours.
