The Opportunity

COO Group provides crucial programs to raise, train and sustain ASD’s people. We lead a complex and diverse portfolio of work programs, with staff from broad-ranging specialisations and disciplines located around the country. We are recruiting for several EL2 Directors to support the COO Group in delivering strategic priorities and organisational capability outcomes.

A key focus of these roles under the REDSPICE Program is to ensure the right opportunities at the right time are available for ASD’s people to improve their skills, knowledge and workplace experience now and into the future. Directors will lead a range of functions and opportunities that support the COO Group and ASD's strategic objectives, including business optimisation and management, workforce capability, learning and development, stakeholder engagement, program delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives.

ASD are looking for leaders with demonstrated experience shaping and delivering strategic outcomes, and who thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment where they are empowered to deliver continuous improvement. Our Directors will have robust stakeholder engagement experience, using highly developed communication skills to build internal and external strategic relationships.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience to:

- Lead the development and implementation of corporate and centralised strategies and plans to deliver outcomes aligned with organisational priorities.
- Provide expert and timely strategic advice and recommendations across the Agency including the Executive to influence agency decisions, aims and initiatives, while building and sustaining productive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide strategic leadership to guide and mentor a multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed team to achieve high quality outcomes and continuous workplace improvement.
- Drive business improvement and organisational capability initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance organisational performance, workforce effectiveness and service delivery while delivering high-quality outcomes in a complex and evolving setting.
- Have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, and have demonstrated experience implementing strategic corporate initiatives.
- Demonstrate the ability to proactively build and sustain positive working relationships with team members, senior leadership and stakeholders within a strong client focused environment.
