Salary: $102,936 - $113,579 pa + Leave Loading + Superannuation

As an Assessment and Planning Officer, you’ll help people in custody identify their strengths, build essential skills and create practical pathways towards education, training and employment. Your work will play a key role in supporting rehabilitation, successful reintegration and reducing re-offending.

What You’ll Do

- Conduct Core Skills Assessments and develop tailored education and employment plans.
- Connect offenders with education, vocational training and employment opportunities that support their future goals.
- Monitor progress, provide reports and contribute to case management and rehabilitation outcomes.
- Build strong partnerships with internal teams and government and non-government agencies.
- Support the delivery of education and vocational programs within the custodial workplace.
- Manage competing priorities while maintaining accurate records and delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Work confidently and respectfully with a diverse range of people in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Qualifications Required:

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, desired but not essential
- Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role

Experience Required:

- Demonstrated experience in office administration
- Skills in people management, negotiation, and conflict management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with and motivate inmates




- Experience working in structured environments where compliance and accurate record keeping are essential
