Gallus Partners Management is seeking an organised, commercially minded and proactive Assistant Development Manager to join our Projects team.

Working closely with experienced development and project managers, you will help coordinate projects across multiple stages of the development lifecycle. The role combines project coordination, commercial analysis, consultant management, reporting and stakeholder engagement.

This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging property qualified who wants broad, hands-on exposure to complex projects and a clear pathway toward managing projects independently.

Key responsibilities

- Assist Development Managers with the planning, coordination and delivery of development projects from feasibility through to completion.
- Support site investigations, due diligence, market research and development feasibility assessments.
- Assist with project budgets, cash-flow forecasts, cost tracking and financial reporting.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, planners, quantity surveyors and other external consultants.
- Monitor project programs, approvals, deliverables, risks and key milestones.
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, action registers, project reports and briefing material.
- Help manage planning, authority and statutory approval processes.
- Assist with consultant procurement, tender evaluations, appointments and contract documentation.
- Support design development and review project documentation against the approved brief, budget and program.
- Assist with construction procurement, progress reporting, claims, variations and contract administration.




- Maintain accurate project records, correspondence, registers and document-control systems.
- Liaise professionally with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities and internal stakeholders.
- Identify emerging project risks, constraints and opportunities and escalate them appropriately.
- Support commissioning, handover and project close-out activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across the Projects team’s systems, templates and delivery processes.

About you

You are analytical, highly organised and comfortable working across several priorities. You communicate clearly, take ownership of your work and enjoy collaborating with a multidisciplinary project team.

You will ideally bring

- A relevant tertiary qualification in property, construction management, project management, architecture, engineering, planning, quantity surveying, finance or a related discipline.
- Approximately one to three years’ relevant experience in property development, construction, project management or consulting. Strong graduate candidates may also be considered.
- An emerging understanding of the property development lifecycle.
- Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
- Confidence working with budgets,



programs, reports and project documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a disciplined approach to follow-up.
- The ability to manage competing deadlines in a professional, client-focused environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with project-management, document-control or feasibility-modelling platforms would be advantageous.
- A current driver licence and the ability to attend project sites when required.
