We're looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Farm Manager to help lead our farming operations and support a high-performing team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Farm Manager, you'll play a key role in the safe and efficient management of turf production, irrigation, harvesting and daily farm activities. You will help coordinate people, equipment and resources to ensure quality standards, customer expectations and operational deadlines are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the day-to-day management of turf production, harvesting and irrigation operations.

Lead, support and coordinate farm team members to achieve daily priorities.

Plan and allocate labour and equipment resources efficiently.

Assist with stock forecasting and harvest planning.

Ensure turf quality standards are maintained throughout the production and dispatch process.

Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across the farm.

Support training, development and compliance activities for farm staff.

Assist with maintenance planning and operational readiness of harvest equipment.

Monitor and report operational performance, compliance and farm activities.

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.





Essential Requirements

Experience in turf production, agriculture, horticulture or a related field.

Ability and willingness to work to the requirements and demands of farm life, including to a roster of weekends, and public holidays.

Demonstrated leadership and team coordination capabilities.

Current driver's licence.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Desirable

Knowledge of farm machinery and harvesting equipment.

Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Knowledge of turf harvesting operations and maintenance.

HC / forklift licence.
