About the Role:
Assistant Manager This role provides an exciting opportunity to be a key member of our management team. Based at our centre in Sunbury and reporting to the Centre Manager,
you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our swim school.
The Assistant
Manager will help to lead our learn to swim program by supporting and mentoring staff, managing daily operations, participate in management meetings, assist in the management of pool operations and maintenance, meet the needs of our customers and completing general admin tasks.
This position requires a high standard of customer service and communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Applicants must hold a valid swim teacher qualification through Austswim, Life Saving Victoria or Swim Coaches and Teachers Australia (SCTA)
The successful candidate will have previous management experience in the Aquatics Industry, expertise in people management, financial management and operational management.
This is a full time position paid under the Fitness Industry Award 2020.
Skills & experience
You must have
- Experience in a similar management role
- Swim teacher qualification
- Working with Children check.
- First aid and CPR
- Drivers license
- Availability to work full time (38hrs/week) including one day of the weekend (7.30am -1.30pm).
- Legally entitled to work in Australia
You may have:
- Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics
- Teacher of Aquatics - Access & Inclusion
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety
