Located on the waterfront in Cairns City QLD 4870, Vitalia’s Italian Restaurant is a welcoming Italian dining venue currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bar Attendant to become part of their team.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and soft drinks.
- Providing friendly, professional, and attentive service to customers throughout their dining experience.
- Taking beverage orders accurately and providing recommendations to customers when required.
- Preparing the bar area before service and ensuring it remains clean, organised, and well presented throughout each shift.
- Monitoring and replenishing bar stock, glassware, garnishes, and other supplies as required.
- Handling payments and operating point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently.
- Ensuring responsible service of alcohol and compliance with relevant liquor licensing requirements and workplace procedures.




- Working closely with restaurant and kitchen staff to provide efficient and coordinated service.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace health and safety within the bar and service areas.

About you

- At least one year of relevant experience as a Bar Attendant or in a similar hospitality role.
- Valuable knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hospitality team.
- Professional presentation and a friendly, customer-focused approach.
- Knowledge of responsible service of alcohol requirements and relevant hospitality standards.

Job Type: Permanent/Full-time

Salary: $68,000 - $75,000 per annum
