Bar Attendant/ Bar Supervisor

Your Duties Will Include
- Providing professional, friendly and efficient service to customers.
- Preparing and serving beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, mixed drinks and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Operating beer taps and maintaining appropriate beverage presentation and pouring standards.
- Taking customer orders accurately and processing payments through the POS system.
- Handling cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately.
- Opening and closing the bar as required.
- Maintaining cleanliness, presentation and hygiene standards throughout the bar and customer areas.
- Restocking refrigerators, bar stations and beverage displays.
- Monitoring beverage and consumable stock levels.
- Assisting with stocktakes, stock rotation and inventory control.
- Receiving and storing beverage deliveries appropriately.
- Minimising stock wastage, breakages and beverage losses.
- Ensuring responsible service of alcohol at all times.
- Checking identification and ensuring compliance with liquor licensing requirements.
- Identifying and appropriately managing intoxicated or disruptive patrons in accordance with RSA requirements and hotel procedures.
- Maintaining a safe environment for customers and employees.
- Responding professionally to customer enquiries, requests and complaints.
- Supporting functions, events, entertainment and busy service periods.
- Maintaining knowledge of the hotel's beverage products, promotions and services.
- Assisting with training and supporting junior or less-experienced bar staff where required.
- Coordinating bar operations during allocated shifts when required.
- Communicating effectively with management, kitchen, restaurant and other hotel staff.
- Following all workplace health and safety, food safety, hygiene and liquor licensing requirements.
- Completing other reasonable hospitality duties as required by management.
About You To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant bar attendant/bartending experience.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification applicable in Western Australia.
- Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits and standard mixed drinks.
- Cocktail preparation experience will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience working in a hotel, pub, tavern, restaurant or similar licensed hospitality venue.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Confidence handling cash, EFTPOS and POS systems.
- Good understanding of bar hygiene, stock rotation and responsible alcohol service.
- Ability to remain organised and professional during busy service periods.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual and professional work ethic.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Ability to assist with supervising a shift and supporting other team members.
- Availability to work a flexible roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Full Australian working rights.
