About the Role
At Team Global Express, we're committed to delivering trusted logistics and transport solutions that keep Australia moving. We're looking for an experienced and commercially astute Branch Manager to lead our Far North Queensland Regional Parcels operations across Cairns and Townsville.
Reporting to the Queensland Regional Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall performance of the region, leading operational excellence, service delivery, safety outcomes, financial results, and people leadership. This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll drive business performance while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer focus.
As Branch Manager, you'll lead a diverse operational workforce and management team, ensuring business strategies are successfully executed while delivering exceptional service experiences for our customers.
What You'll Do
Lead and develop high-performing operational teams across Cairns and Townsville.
Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Deliver operational excellence by improving productivity, efficiency, and service outcomes.
Achieve or exceed financial targets through effective cost management and commercial decision-making.
Implement state and national business strategies across the regional network.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and business partners.
Monitor operational performance and utilise data-driven insights to identify improvement opportunities.
Develop capability across the workforce through coaching, mentoring, training, and succession planning.
Foster a collaborative and engaged workplace culture aligned to Team Global Express values.
Manage industrial and employee relations matters professionally and effectively.
Ensure effective utilisation of people, fleet,
and operational resources to meet customer and business requirements.
Oversee risk management, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives across the region.
What You'll Bring
Proven leadership experience in transport, logistics, supply chain, or a related operational environment.
Strong operational management experience within a complex, multi-site business.
Demonstrated ability to deliver commercial results and manage operational budgets.
Strategic thinking capability with the ability to translate plans into operational outcomes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Experience leading large teams and building high-performance cultures.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Sound understanding of workplace relations, safety, compliance, and regulatory obligations.
Experience coaching and developing teams to achieve strong performance outcomes.
Strong financial acumen and operational reporting capability.
A proactive, results-oriented leadership style with high standards of integrity and professionalism.
Willingness to travel as required across the region.
