Looking for steady driving work with a company that values safety and professionalism? Tarni Resources is seeking experienced Passenger Transport / Bus Drivers to support operations across the Pilbara region, including Karratha, Newman, Port Hedland, and Tom Price.
We're looking for reliable drivers with experience operating buses or heavy vehicles in regional, mining, or commercial environments. You'll play a key role in safely transporting workers and community members while delivering exceptional customer service in remote locations.
The Role Includes
- Airport transfers
- DIDO (Drive-In Drive-Out) transport services
- Mine site and community passenger transport
- Charter and ad hoc transport services
- Day and night shifts on rotating rosters
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate buses and passenger vehicles in accordance with road laws and company procedures.
- Conduct daily pre-start inspections and vehicle safety checks.
- Complete trip sheets, logbooks, and required documentation accurately.
- Deliver skilled and courteous customer service to all passengers.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
- Comply with fatigue management, site safety requirements, and company policies.
- Report incidents, hazards, or vehicle defects promptly.
Mandatory Requirements Applicants must have:
- Current (Front and Back Scan Copy) MR or HR Driver Licence (HR preferred)
- Current PTD Authorisation (Passenger Transport Driver Authorisation)
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current Fitness to Drive Medical
- White Card
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen
- Willingness to work day and night shifts, weekends, and rotating rosters
Highly Desirable Qualifications
- Previous experience in mining, FIFO, or remote operations
- Experience driving coaches or large passenger buses
- Current MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card)
- Rio Tinto and/or BHP site inductions
- Working at Heights certification
